I'm Mick — mechanic, truck driver, and lifetime tinkerer from rural Queensland. Rust was my second home for years. I'm coming back to play, and Grok AI is the new tool in the workshop: ship mods faster, tune servers properly, and fix the stuff that used to take weeks.
The wasteland never left me
Rust isn't a game you dabble in. You learn the wipes, the raids, the economy, the plugins that make or break a server. After 8,500 hours you stop asking "how do I survive?" and start asking "how do I make this server worth logging into tomorrow?"
Life pulled me away for a while — work, miles on the road, building MiX apps for local businesses. But the pull to play again is real. I want to be on a server I helped shape, with mods that feel modern, and optimizations that respect players' time.
Why AI changes the Rust mod stack
Old workflow: idea → weeks of C# → test → break → repeat. Grok Build flips that. I set architecture, quality bar, and in-game UX; AI agents implement panels, tune configs, and iterate at a pace one person could never sustain alone.
